Sbi share price

All the scheduled commercial banks have different rules for the minimum average balance that has to be maintained in the savings account on a monthly basis or quarterly basis. A penalty is levied by the banks in case of non-maintenance of minimum average monthly balance.

Country’s largest lender by the asset size State Bank of India (SBI) also has prescribed set of rules for minimum balance which is to be maintained in the savings account and penalty charges for non-maintenance of minimum average monthly balance.

Interestingly, State Bank of India doesn’t have a minimum balance requirement in SBI basic savings bank deposit account, SBI small savings account, SBI saving account for minors, while, the minimum balance requirements on SBI Insta savings account was waived off till March 2019.
